If the dog’s neck tapers, position the collar at the narrowest section (nearest it's head). The ideal position for the contact probes is at the front centre point of the neck. Fit securely, making sure it's tight enough to allow for one finger to fit under a probe.
Correct Length Probes
The probes should make contact with the dog's skin through its coat. The shorter probes are for short-haired breeds, while the longer probes are for long-haired breeds. Both types are provided with collars.
Collar Checks
Be careful not to over tighten the e-collar and remember always (at least daily) to check for skin irritation before fitting the collar. Avoid leaving the collar on for over 12 hours per day and wash the dog’s neck area weekly. If signs of irritation or inflammation exist seek advice from a vet.
Fence Collar
Never fit a PAC Fence collar to a dog when it is close to the no-go zone.
Training Collar
Never attach a lead, line or tether to a training collar, these should be attached to a flat collar or harness.
